Cold sores are caused by a virus. Once you’ve caught the virus, it stays in your skin. This means the blisters can come back at any time. If you’ve had a previous diagnosis of cold sores from a healthcare professional, we can prescribe treatment to make your outbreak less severe and help your sores heal quicker. The sooner you start treatment, the better.

We don’t need to see you in person, we just need to make sure treatment is suitable for you.
