New to home tests?

Just like your local GP or GUM clinic, we can help you get the tests and advice you need.

Our STI home test kit is an accurate laboratory test that checks for genital, anal and throat chlamydia and genital, anal and throat gonorrhoea.

Collect samples at home using the kit we provide, then mail it back to our partner laboratory.

If the test shows you have chlamydia in your vagina or throat, you and any partners can use our chlamydia treatment service to get the antibiotics you need, providing it’s suitable for you. There’s a separate charge to get treated.

If the test finds gonorrhoea anywhere or chlamydia in your anus, you and any partners will need to go to a clinic for treatment.

If you test positive for both chlamydia and gonorrhoea you and any partners will need to go to a clinic for treatment.

The test kit is unlikely to detect chlamydia or gonorrhoea if you got it in the last two weeks.

Chlamydia and gonorrhoea — why you should get tested

Chlamydia and gonorrhoea are both common sexually transmitted infections (STIs) in the UK. You can get chlamydia and gonorrhoea in your genitals, throat or anus. This test kit is for both infections in all three areas of the body.

If you have a new sexual partner or you’re worried you may have been exposed to someone else with chlamydia or gonorrhoea you should get tested.

If you’ve got chlamydia or gonorrhoea symptoms, we can’t offer you a test or treatment. You must visit your GP or health clinic. It’s important to get treated because if left untreated it can lead to long-term health problems.
