About the thyroid test kit
We offer home tests as a quick, convenient way for you to find out whether your thyroid is working properly.
How does the Thyroid Test Kit work?
The Thyroid Test Kit works by testing your blood for TSH (thyroid stimulating hormone) and T4.
The balance between these two hormones indicates how well your thyroid is working.
Follow the instructions we send you to collect a blood sample. Send the sample to our partner laboratory.
When the lab sends us your test result, we’ll share it with you in your secure account.
How do I take a blood sample?
Follow our simple instructions to take a finger-prick blood sample. Put it in the packaging we include and send it to our partner laboratory.
What are my options if I don’t want to take a home test?
If you are displaying symptoms but you don’t want to take a home test, please see your GP.
What if my results show that my thyroid is not working properly?
If the results show that your thyroid is not working properly, we will advise you on the best next step.
Remember to take a copy of your results with you if you need to speak to your GP about them.
Can I take a test if I don’t have any symptoms?
We can only provide thyroid health testing to you if you have symptoms of an underactive thyroid, are diabetic,
have a family history of thyroid disease or if you are already on thyroxine replacement therapy.
Symptoms of an underactive thyroid gland include feeling tired all the time, weight gain or difficulty losing weight.
