HAYFEVER — GET RELIEF

Hayfever (seasonal rhinitis) is a common allergy to pollen that occurs mainly in spring and summer. It can leave you sneezing, with a runny nose and with itchy eyes and throat. If you’re allergic to other substances (allergens) like pet fur or dust, you can experience the same symptoms at any time of the year (perennial rhinitis).

If you suffer from hayfever or have a year-round allergy we can prescribe treatment. It won’t cure your condition but will help to relieve your symptoms.

We don’t need to see you in person, we just need to check treatment is suitable for you.

Hayfever and COVID-19 — understand the differences

Hayfever and COVID-19 can share similar symptoms and it can be hard to tell one from another. But there are some key differences to help you tell them apart.

The main symptoms of COVID-19 are a high temperature, a new continuous cough, and a loss of smell or taste. While hayfever may leave some people with a loss of smell and/or a cough it doesn’t cause a high temperature. Hayfever has a seasonal pattern and brings on sneezing, a runny nose and itchy eyes and nose. These aren’t common symptoms of COVID-19.

If you’re unsure, you should follow the recommended precautions and get medical advice.
